Remember when I told you about The Feline Code? How we cats have to be so careful not to let humans know what we’re really capable of? And I showed you that video of the cat who almost blew it for us? (If you don’t remember, go back to the post called “For Your Eyes Only.”)
Well, I wanted to let you know that we’re still safe, the wrong humans haven’t figured out our scam yet. The reason I know this is because I was looking over Cindy’s shoulder while she was reading an article in the Parade magazine from the Sunday paper last week. It was called “The Battle of Cats vs Dogs.” If you’d like to read the article on-line, click here.
In this ridiculous article, researchers were quoted as saying that dogs are easier to train than cats and that they have a greater capacity for complex thought.
Purr-fect! That’s exactly what we want you to think! And here’s the funniest part. These researchers think cats can only learn about 35 words, while dogs can learn 165. This gives dogs the vocabulary of a two-year-old human.
HA! A two-year-old! Isn’t that HYSTERICAL! Have you ever listened to Dewey? I think his vocabulary is a little bigger than the average two-year-old.
Dogs have always fallen all over themselves to do exactly what humans want and what do they have to show for it? A life of slavery, that’s what. But by acting superior and aloof all these years, we cats get to do as we please. Who would you say was the smartest animal?
Or a Feline Extraordinaire, like myself?
Now, remember: The Feline Code and our true capabilities must remain TOP-SECRET to protect our way of life! I’m counting on you!
