Flash Tells All

Have you ever noticed how cats do what they please, regardless of your opinion in the matter? That trait is just part of our charm, along with the way we like to lay on the crinkly newspaper page you’re trying to read.

I’m really glad this is MY blog, because that means I get to run it however I please, just the way a cat likes. Ringo already blabbed most of what’s coming up, but today I’m going to fill you in on the details of what I’ve decided.

So, listen up, because this is the way it’s going to be. Unless of course, I change my mind. Which is entirely possible. You just never know with cats.

1. I’m way too excited to wait till all our pictures are gone to post my interview with our first author, Jennifer Nielsen. Since my questions for “Ask Flash!” day have petered out, we’re going to debut Operation Story Share on . . . Friday. Yes, you heard right. This Friday! It’s going to be amazing, if I do say so myself. So don’t miss it!

2. In a few more weeks, when the “See Flash!” pictures do run out, I’m going to discontinue Wednesday’s posts.

I know, I know. It makes me a little sad, too. But before you go all ballistic on me, let me explain. Operation Story Share is going to take more time than “Ask Flash!” and “See Flash!” did. The other characters have promised to help (even Lucy!) but except for Dewey, they’re not very fast readers. And don’t forget, my primary responsibility is being Cindy’s professional “Mews.” She’s still muddling along, trying to figure out that new story and she needs lots of help right now.

3. Here is a preview of some of the things you can expect to see on Operation Story Share Fridays.

Book recommendations by ME or another character from Flash, Feline Extraordinaire.
Interviews with authors.
Interviews with other people who love books.
And possibly interviews and/or book recommendations by my fans. (That’s you!)

I want to emphasize the SHARE in Operation Story Share. That means you need to pipe up and leave a comment if you’ve read a book we’re featuring. Did you like it? Did you hate it? What’s your favorite book ever? (Besides mine. We already know it’s everyone’s favorite!) Do you have a book you’d like us to feature? Why did you like it?

Are you getting the picture here? I want to talk about books you guys like. I’m a cat, how am I supposed to know unless you tell me?

I guess that’s about it. I hope it made sense. If you have any questions about our new format, leave me a comment. And don’t forget—only a couple more Wednesdays of “See Flash!” and Operation Story Share starts on FRIDAY!

I want Friday to hurry up this week. I love reading about authors, and it will be fun to see what you thought to ask Jennifer Nielsen. I wonder how she will like being interviewed by a cat, and what she will have to say. I hope a lot of your fans read and comment on Friday.
