A Day in the Life of a Professional Mews

I take my job as a Professional Mews very seriously. That’s why I always keep my eyes open for intriguing things when I’m out and about with Cindy. These things might not actually make it into her stories, but you never know, they might inspire something else that does.

Today I thought I would share two things that made my Mews Intuition sit up and take notice.

Cool Tree

The first is a tree that we walk by on the way to the library. Obviously, this is a magical tree. You can tell by the black bark and creepy crooked branches. There is a story in this tree. If Cindy pays any attention to my whisperings, maybe she’ll figure it out someday.

Barb Wire Dog Full Body Barb Wire Dog HeadThe other thing is a barbed wire sculpture a few blocks from our house. I don’t know about you, but this wolf scares my whiskers off. There’s no doubt he comes to life under a full moon and prowls the neighborhood looking for cat-flavored snacks. He would make a great scary story, but I almost hope Cindy doesn’t use this idea!

What about you? Have you seen anything intriguing today?

I am the Professional Mews for Cindy Strandvold, as well as a huge fan of middle-grade books. Which, coincidentally, is the age Cindy writes for.
