On the Job With Sable

Everybody’s heard of police dogs and search-and-rescue dogs and seeing-eye dogs. Those butt-sniffers are always stealing all the glory. But not anymore. Not with Sable on the job as a crossing-guard cat at Enterprise Middle School in West Richland, WA.

Crossing Guard Cat

Maybe you heard about Sable in the news last week. Every weekday morning and afternoon, regardless of the weather, this 15-year-old black cat goes out to supervise the kids using the crosswalk near his home. He even wears a neon orange safety vest!

Two paws up for Sable! Is he a Feline Extraordinaire, or what?
