Celebrate National Hug Your Cat Day

HeadshotCindy has this thing hanging on her wall called a calendar. Recently I’ve noticed how it is full of people’s birthdays and anniversaries and holidays like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. But no matter how hard I’ve looked, I’ve yet to find Flash Day written anywhere on it. Or any day to do with cats.

Excuse me?

Is there really no day set aside on Cindy’s calendar to honor me or the other felines who go out of their way to do things for her, like tirelessly warm her lap?

And provide countless hours of free entertainment?

And demonstrate daily tips for stress-free living?

This state of affairs was unacceptable. So I did a little on-line research and discovered that April 11 is National Pet Day. Really? April 11? You mean I MISSED it?

Missing my very own day was worse than unacceptable. But not to worry, after some more research I found an even better holiday. National Hug Your Cat Day! There’s just one problem. Nobody seems to know when it is. Some websites say May 30th and others say June 4th.

Obviously, the solution is to celebrate it on BOTH days!

In case you’re unsure exactly how to celebrate National Hug Your Cat Day next week, here is a demonstration.

Any questions?
