Reading Challenge Update #4

What a treat! We just finished The Secret Garden for the very first time. Cindy couldn’t believe she’d never read it before. It had lots of things we both like in a book–mysterious big old houses, off-limits places, beautifully described settings, plenty of secrets, and a happy ending.

We’ve read three books now. All totally different, but all very good in their own way. Can we go four for four?

Though I have always meant to, I’ve never read “The Secret Garden.” In one sentence you managed to convince me to bump it up to the front of my list! Well, right after all the books that I’ve already set aside for the challenge, of course 😉

If I get really tired, I may reread A Little Princess. My library copy was horrible and smelly, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to replace it. You’ve given me inspiration to reread!

  3. THE SECRET GARDEN is one of my favorite books of all time. Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

LOVE this book. Glad you read it, too!

  5. This was one of my favorite books as a child. I need to re-read it as an adult for good measure. I also need to get to The Little Princess.
