About Flash

Flash, Feline Extraordinaire—that’s me, the most super-amazing main character ever created by Cindy Strandvold. I’ve been hanging around in her brain so long, she considers me to be her Professional Mews.

I got bored waiting around during all the revisions and rewrites my book has been through, so I started reading all the other kids’ books Cindy is always bringing home. Let me tell you, there are some pretty awesome books out there. (Lots of them are almost as good as my story!)

Being a friendly sort of cat, I decided to share my recommendations with other kids’ book lovers. Some of those kids’ book lovers are ACTUAL KIDS who have become my fans after hearing different versions of my story read at their elementary schools. I love my fans, especially the ones who have written their own recommendations for my blog.

Because my book hasn’t been published yet, I don’t have an official illustration to show you what I look like. But here are some of the different variations of me so far.

This is my alter ego, Snickers, the real cat who inspired my character. I guess you could say he was the first me.

To be totally honest, I think this stuffed animal looks a little too prissy to be a Feline Extraordinaire such as myself. I wanted to order the stuffed animal that was handmade in Germany. But it cost $200.00 and Cindy said that was way too much money. She said this one would have to do. Then she hid her credit card number where I couldn’t get to it.

Drat.

Oh, well. Luckily for us, we all have good imaginations, right?
